Todays creation started with cardboard, an image of Gardenia and pink tissue paper.
I gesso’d the cardboard, modgepodge the tissue paper then I added the snow flakes and let everything dry. Once dry, I spritzed everything with Dylusion Spray – Crushed Grape and London Blue. Now keep in mind the tissue paper was pink so I now have very intense colours.
I then coloured with copics Gardenia and fussy cut her. The dress on her is created with stickles and gelato to give the pink blue hue. The Snowflakes are cut out with my punches and silhouette, the flowers are Prima Marketing, the letters are cut out using the Silhouette Cameo as well, the flourish at the bottom made with pears is hand formed using pearl strands I had hanging around.
Once I had everything layed out and glued down I added some extra touches, I outlined the snowflakes to give them depth, I added pearls and more stickles to some of the snowflakes, the letters are highlighted with smooch. My only problem now is to find a way to flatten the board without loosing the depth and to learn to take a decent picture.
I created todays mixed media using Faber Castell gelatos on a piece of cardboard that was prepared first with gesso, then stamped with Tim Holtz Stamp nature stamp set on the back ground and a second piece of cardboard. I then randomly cut one piece of dressed cardboard into different sizes, layered them then I adorned the mat and pieces with Prima Marketing flowers, recollections flowers, flowers by Dea and curly’s by Dea.
I love how the colours blend and the way the blues and greens pop on this piece.
My inspiration came from a tutorial I found on you tube for Gelatos

I created this ornament for a swap posted on Facebook “Julie Nutting Stamps Christmas Ornament Tag Swap” The rules were simple use a Julie Nutting doll stamp. Creativity was at your liberty.
So this is what I came up with,
The ornament is cut using a Spellbinders die with Bazill cardstock and Stampin up yardstick. The edge of the ornaments are enhanced with Inka Gold Metellic Rub – Gold.
I then stamped, scanned, resized and cut with my Silhouette Cameo the Merry Nice doll stamp and the wings by Prima Marketing – Julie Nutting.
The Girl is coloured with Copics, the hat is adorned with Jo-Ann Essentials chunky glitter and a mini pompom I purchased from walmart.
The wings were coloured with Tim Holtz Distress Stain – Tea Stain then enhanced with smooched spray in Gold and expresso.
The pointsettia is from Tim Holtz bigz die collections – Tattered Pointsettia, I cut the flowers out with my big shot, then scanned them, resized them and cut them with the Silhouette Cameo. They were coloured using smooches sprays and the yellow centres are called Mini Prills from USARTCentral
Finally the finishing touches, the leaves were punched using a Martha Stewart leaf punch and glitter tape that I found at the dollar store. The edge of the ornament is enhanced with Tim Holtz Distress Glitter Antique Linen, the bells are from the dollar store, the ribbon is made using Close To My Heart Organza ribbon and the wire beading is made by me.
I really hope you enjoyed seeing my newest creation.
Created for my girlfriends birthday. I coloured her with copics, layered her with feathers and leather ontop of a Dream catcher I created myself. The Stamped image is Free Spirit by Jamie Doherty Blooms Collection.
I created this for my SS on Splitcoaststampers for the Secret Elf Swap.
I used all tim holtz products with the exception of the metal butterfly, the watch parts, the home made flower, the two tone spray, two charms and the fishing lure. The products I did use were:
Tim Holtz burlap frameTim Holtz distress paints, broken china, vintage photo, seedless preserves, and spiced marmelade. Paper was from Tim Holtz – Lost and Found, Journey was from Tim Holtz idea-ology Words, remnant Rubs, Tim Holtz Idea-ology Clock Keys, Tim Holtz idea-ology Chitchat, Tim Holtz Idea-ology Pen Nibs, Tim Holtz idea-ology game spinners and Tim Holtz Photo Tape.
I really enjoyed creating this, I hope that this encourages you to try out the burlap frames.
Here is my first try at mixed media using Prima Marketing stamp, my silhouette and a ceiling tile. The stamp is Jing from Prima Marketing, I stamped her then scanned her into my Silhouette, then reversed the image, printed her out, cut her with the silhouette and coloured her with Copics. The Flowers are a mix of Prima flowers and flowers I created on my own. The butterflies were Created by my girlfriend, I add gold leaf to them to make them pop. The flowers along the bottom have been decorated with diamond glitter, the flowers in Jing’s hair have been decorated with stickler, the letters were cut out by the silhouette and then coloured with dylusion sprays, the background has a doily glazed onto, the stems are created by wrapping around my pencil, I also used tissue to give the background texture. The colours on the back ground are all different types of mediums, paint, sprays, inks, h20’s. I loved creating this and look forward to my next project with a Prima Stamps.
